rikki don't lose that number
been in Madison, WI since September 12. kinda rocky leaving that day, my brakes went out as i was leaving Pitts so i ended up having to scramble around and find a rental at 5:30 p.m. ended up getting here ok and it's funny, i really like it here despite the fact that i wasn't too sure if i was ready to leave Pittsburgh for good. cost of living is a bit higher, but i'm also making just shy of three times what i was averaging a year as well, so everything should work out financially after a few months. going to be tight for a bit but i kinda expected that.
finally found an apartment last week only to have it rented out from underneath me the day before i was to sign the lease. it was kinda quirky but huge and close to work, as in ride my bike kind of close. kinda pissed me off, especially since the day that this happened was the same day that the restaurant got a pretty miserable review from corporate. nothing is more fun than management meetings were we all get ripped a new one for two hours.
but despite all these things (and other crap that i ended up having to take care of immediately) i managed to find a new, better, cooler place yesterday that may be a bit farther away but i think i'll be much happier with. dropping off the application either tomorrow or Sunday and taking care of the money angle later in the week. should finally move all my crap from Pittsburgh to Madison the week of the 6th.

still alive, dude. barely. work is long and hard sometimes but then there are hours of endless paperwork. i have no life to speak of, which is sad. luckily it doesn't give me much time to miss the girl that i said i would never fall for but of course did anyway.
