my entire kitchen staff is mexican, with the exception of one guy, and in light of the recent protests, marches, etc, that have been taking place across the nation during the past month in regards to the new immigration laws and what not, i'm having to be just a little more sensative to their needs and requests. even better though is what i'm calling the National Mexican Walk-Off Day, April 10. my kitchen staff will be composed this monday entirely of management, as well as the chef from the Algonquin store and one of his supervisors. on one hand i think it's pretty funny, but whatever.

find myself swinging from a happy-go-lucky approach to life to hating everything. it's probably got a lot to do with a complete lack of a social life right now and (even worse) no woman in my life. after almost two years of being in (albeit bizarre) relationships i'm finding that not having it there really, really sucks.

but hey, working 12 hours a day keeps my attention diverted, right?
