wrapped around your finger
been working on my self-assessment/yearly review the past few days. i swear, this company makes it so hard to weasle another dime out of them. five page spreadsheet with 20 catagories that you need to check off between extraordinary to needs improvement, then you need to write out individual comments for all the different bullets within those catagories. but you're not done yet. then there's a page outlining your personal goals, one with a personal "action plan" for what you feel you need to accomplish or improve on in the immediate future (with deadlines), and finally a summary of everything and anything that you feel wasn't covered already.
at least i'll get back pay out of this. the only sad thing is that i'm also mired in the middle of eight reviews for my staff, and once i'm done with those i've got five more to do by the end of the month.
still short-staffed, and even though everyone i employ is illegal, they've all managed to obtain valid SS numbers, so i'm able to employ them. what sucks is that i've now had 75 applicants walk through the door since August and i've been able to hire two (that's 2) of them because the rest have invalid numbers. corporate doesn't like invalid numbers for some reason.
not sleeping well again, but that's probably due to the inordinate amount of idiocy i'm stuck with, both at work and personally. no motivation whatsoever these days.
